Team Building Tuesday

Quotes of the Day

'A successful team is a group of
many hands and one mind.'
Bill Bethel

'A team is a group of people with
different, abilities, talents, experience,
and backgrounds who have come together
for a shared purpose.
Despite their individual differences, that
common goal provides the thread that
defines them as a team.'
Total team Building

The key to team building I have said many
times is improving working relationships.
Only then, and it will take time will you
have a gelled team that know each other
well both at work and socially.

The time consuming part to this is that
it will not happen overnight but over
months and possible years, depending
on the size of your team.

The easiest and fastest way to achieve this
is to incorporate team building into the team
environment.

Two of my best suggestions are firstly to play games or socialize either in work or outside of work so that the team can get to know each other better; in their social lives; hobbies, activities and to socialize with their children.

Then the next step is to generate fun,
through team games and activities that will challenge your team to work together as one,
to motivate each other and to start the process of building working relationships through team bonding and collaboration: only then will the journey begin.

And, as the above quote mentions, that when the team recognises each others abilities and talents, and a good working knowledge of themselves then a common goal of team bonding will be achieved.

And on to greater things.

Until next week
